Sask Sport is saddened by the loss of former board President Robert (Bob) Macdonald Livingston.
Throughout his life, Livingston was surrounded by sport, both on and off the field of play. His involvement reached various areas, from growing up as an athlete, to taking on the role of coach to his children and grandchildren. By his 70s, Livingston continued the pursuit of sport and remained active by participating in a senior softball league.
He was an educational psychologist based in Regina and spent most of his career working for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education, specializing in special needs policy development and service delivery.
For many years, Livingston selflessly dedicated his time as a volunteer to sport in Saskatchewan, which led him to serve as President of Sask Sport’s Board of Directors from 1992-93. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors for Basketball Saskatchewan and the Regina Dolphins swim club.
