The Games will feature camaraderie by more than 1,500 athletes, coaches and officials who will take part in the 27th edition of the biennial multi-sport event.

Athletes from the province’s nine districts will represent every corner of Saskatchewan and will be welcomed by over 1,000 volunteers, as they compete for the top of the podium.

Following the Opening Ceremonies on Feb. 15, events in artistic swimming, biathlon, bowling (five pin and Special Olympics), men’s curling, gymnastics, ringette, speed skating, table tennis and wrestling will take place until Feb. 18. The final phase will feature badminton, cross country and para-Nordic skiing, female curling, figure skating, futsal, judo, target shooting and weightlifting from Feb. 18-21.

The Saskatchewan Games allow athletes to gain valuable experience by competing at a major multi-sport event, with many athletes who attend the Games later going on to represent Saskatchewan at the Western Canada and Canada Games, as well as on the international stage.

The Games will conclude with Closing Ceremonies on Feb. 21.
