They are the first wheelchair curling team to go undefeated in a Paralympic Games and they captured the hearts and minds of many Canadians on their historic run and gold medal win! This was Gilbert’s Paralympic debut and he proudly represented Canada and Saskatchewan.

Penny is a dedicated swimmer and has been for decades. She is an inspiration in the swimming arena as she is consistent and motivational to the swimmers around her. Penny takes every opportunity to compete and hone her craft as a speed swimmer. She is supportive of the swimmers around her and offers advice and support always. Competition in the 75-79 age group category is an amazing accomplishment and attaining a Canadian Record at this stage in her swimming journey is a level of excellence worth celebrating.
